Photographing people and events is my passion. For me photography is all about making that connection with my subject. It’s sometimes a challenge at the NYC Marathon with thousands of runners streaming past! A little bit easier capturing the moments at events and performances.
Living in New York City has provided me with the great opportunity to learn and improve my craft. Classes at the International Center for Photography and School for Visual Arts have been invaluable.
Recently I’ve been spending more time in the clouds, making that connection through the lens of my drone. I’m a FAA certified commercial drone pilot. Drone photography is a great opportunity to literally see things from a different perspective.
I’ve added a totally fun and customizable Photo Booth to my arsenal. Custom overlays, GIFS, Videos, Boomerang, you name it. Now’s the time to think about how you want to make your great return to the social life. Maybe a backyard party? A house party? Book the backroom of a bar or club? Curate the special playlist of songs that were meant to be played loud and danced to. (and not just for your dog or cat!)
So what happens when I put down the lens or land the drone? Here are some fun facts about me:
I’m a fill in traffic reporter on the legendary NYC radio station 1010 WINS, warning folks to avoid the Cross Bronx Expressway and the BQE.
And if I don’t have a camera or microphone in front of me? I’m all about the jazz! If my drone doubled as a time machine, I’d be sitting in smoky jazz clubs and catching sets from Coltrane, Miles, Mingus and Bill Evans.
Feel free to ask me about my time in the mountains of Telluride and of course my dog Zoe!
